This is very relevant. I found it humorous how true this rang, and the idea that politicians can keep getting away with what they do based on the shuffle of cards is a great allegory. The aesthetics are nice and clean, readable, and they get the job done. The writing is great, and you came up with a lot of clever uses for the cards, and the summaries of the controversies contrasting with the card descriptions match very effectively.
The game is a tad simple. That doesn't mean there isn't potential -- there very much is -- and it's understandable that you couldn't make a full CCG in seven days, but I think highlighting which cards would work for the controversy was too much. I wanted to be able to figure out which card would work best, and perhaps be penalized when I chose one that wouldn't work. I also think showing the exact numbers takes it away a little bit. Maybe instead of having to-the-digit stats, say "publicity: low/med/high," and then have card descriptions that say, "low/med/high effectiveness against publicity," or something like that. That would make me think about which card I chose a lot more.
You have a very strong foundation, though, and I love the idea. Congratulations and keep it up. Well done.
