This is my first game jam. I am making a top-down shooter about finding the legendary SPORFE (a combination of a fork, knife and spoon). This is my project so far. I made the characters and silverware but recolored the 16x16 DungeonTileset II for the room. How do you think I am doing so far (I can't really tell since it's my first real game)?

Honestly, for a day's work, this is pretty good. I would make the color palette have a bit more variety. You could look up a good palette for whatever the style of dungeon it is.

I'll try that. Although, I've been looking up Egyptian color pallets and they are all pretty similar to what I have.

On first glance it looks like something about westerns, the eye is looking for cacti and tumbleweed. Maybe make the floor pattern with visible tiles/bricks/etc?
