So the game takes way too long to start
especially being simple, which is a bit weird and could make it annoying for the player to want to go back to the game when they die.
I don't get why falling off edges is a feature I'd rather the edges have walls or so in my opinion (maybe I'm just super bad at avoiding edges😂)
The game itself is nice although I think it would be nicer for some feedback on friendly ghosts making/taking damage and I think having them target enemies automatically
Having the player click on an area just to have the ghost arrive somewhere with no enemies now and wait feels a bit annoying, I like having to balance the player position as well as the friendly ghosts but some help would be nice😂
I really like the capes and particles and how the game looks. Graphically it's really nice.
I also really like the concept but some polish here and there and overall optimizations would go a very long way.
All in all it's a nice game. Good job!
Thanks for all the feedback! Just a note, you can have the friendlies follow the player automatically by pressing space, also the friendlies will always start following the player after killing an enemy. Friendlies will also follow enemies that they have attacked.
This was actually a pretty fun game once I worked out what was going on. It was a bit easy and the strategy seems to be to just grind it out to get the upgrades. I liked the graphics and the sound effects. The piano music seems out of place though.

heh, very funny
very pretty game, i think having a visible health bar for all the units would go a long way to explain what was happening in the game. the upgrades were also a bit hard to understand as to what they did, i think the upgrades were very "invisible" as to the changes they made, as in you would have to upgrade a thing multiple times to actually see any meaningful change or advantage.
same for the units, i grinded up the money until i bought the super soldier, but i never had to buy the advanced soldier at all, and i just started spamming super soldier after collecting enough energy - there was no reason to spawn any lower tier soldiers even if they cost less energy.
i think its perfectly fine for a jam game, but i do think it can be made into a bigger game with a bit of gameplay changes and performance optimization. overall, very cool and pretty!
