Nice use of the theme and sweet graphics, gameplay was a bit grindy though. I wanted to see what "super soldier" was but at the rate I was going it would have taken a long time.

Developer

Yes, we might need to touch on that.

Really nice graphics and cloth physics, the audio was very pleasant and really added to the game feel. It was a little confusing to figure out what to do but a good game nonetheless

Developer

Thanks!

So yesterday I was super tired and when playing the game I really did not like what was going on, especially the long delay when starting the game (the progress bar freezes for about 15 seconds).

I did not rate the game then because I though it might  be unfair to give you a bad rating because I was tiered and so I just tried it again and it was much more fun. The ghost model and the player cape are really well done and you have a couple of nice shader/particle effects. Visually exceptional.

The gameplay itself is a little simple (and I still don't understand how my ghosts friend fight) but due to the progression of the enemies still entertaining. The player progression system is a nice idea and depending on the playtime could get interesting but for the time I played it didn't really became relevant.

Thanks a lot for your careful reply and all the feedback. Indeed, some explanation would have definitely been of much help for the understanding of the mechanics and the enjoyment of the gameplay. Will definitely add that to any future project.

On a brief note, your friendlies fight when their swords collide with the ghosts and will follow them until the ghost is defeated or the friendly dies. Ghosts themselves deal damage by touching the player or the friendlies. The player isn't really supposed to fight as he has very little health, but can deal damage with his staff.

Once again, thanks a lot for tour feedback!

Great music and great visuals! The gameplay was a little confusing to get into, but overall good work!

Really fun with great music. The visuals are also very nice with the different colors.  The only thing I'd say I'm missing is a pause button. Other than that a fantastic project.

Thanks a lot!

Addicting fun gameplay. The game is slow when there are many enemies, but still fun!

Developer(+1)

Yes, some optimization won't hurt, glad you liked it.

Art is cool, I was worried the game was never going to start since it took too long to load, I still have no idea how the game worked, I just ran away from some ghosts and picked up pink orbs until I died.

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, it takes a bit too long to load. When it starts you are supposed to summon soldiers by pressing 1, 2..., which you can command, as explained in the description of  the game.

Oy, I'm really sorry to hear that. Might it be that the loading bar takes very long to fill up or does the game not start at all?

I wait 10 min, thank you

Hard to understand at first but then I got it and it was pretty fun.

Developer

Should have made a little introduction probably, thanks!

This was fun to play. At first I thought it was the orbs that was getting you money but then I realized it was the guys you destroyed. The beans with the capes are so adorable. Graphics were really good. The colliders/hitboxes on the orbs could be a bit bigger. There were times where I skirted around them trying to pick them up. Also, sometimes my soldiers would stop and "dance" with each other. I didn't mind too much because it was also adorable. I can see potential in this to have different orb collectibles for different mana types and more types of helpers. Overall, this was really good.

I appreciate that progress is saved, this is addicting and I’ll definitely continue playing! The cloth robes looks great, makes you wonder what else can be done with just primitive shapes.

Developer

Thanks a lot!

How to play:

 - WSAD to move around

 - Number keys to spawn soldiers(example: 1, 2...)

 - Left mouse click to send the soldiers to the mouse position on the map
