How are people picking games?

There are far too many to play!  Where do you even start?  Are you selecting games at random?  Do you stick to similar games to your own entry to see what you can learn from them?

I sort by least rated and random, I check the community tab as well.

honestly, just playing other peoples that ask me to rate them. If you'd like here's mine:

It's really incredibly short, just the absolute bare bones for the game but i don't think i did too bad

(ps: if you couldn't tell it's a take on Luigi's Haunted Mansion)

I usually use mostly the special page for entries with few votes (there is a hyperlink at the top of the entries page) and Karma ordering.

This time, I decided to prioritise Karma over least votes, as it was intended to be the fairest system. Since I noticed some people try to take advantage of it by copy-pasting comments (so they get a high Karma), I also take a look at their profiles to check if they write genuine comments, and if so, I test the game. (With overly long reviews generally, although I would like to test everything, so, I am conflicted. XD)
