Really awesome game. So wow, much fun. Art is simple but great, and has nice subtle additional thingies like grass reacting to the player character and also the size changing. Visual effects, all those particles and trails look cool. Music and sound is nice. There's even an endless mode with waves of enemies, where each wave has different sets of mobs. Just great.

Thanks a lot! This really means a lot to me.
Could you think of anything you would have liked to see in the game? A special ability, powerup, Enemy types, Map types... Everything I have been missing is helpful :)

Omg the feeling when you picked up two rapid fire powerups and destroyed everything was amazing. Other than that it was a cool game. The artstyle was nice but the movement felt good aswell. In the start of the game I thought to myself that I wanted a melee weapon and when I pressed right mouse button I got a sword :D 4/5 would kill cats again.

Thank you for playing! :)
Would you want me to develop the game further? Add more story, detailed levels and maps, fine tune the mechanics, more mobs, different behaviours, powerups and skills?

Yes!

Great game! It's up there with the most fun games from this jam. The art style, while fairly simple, works wonderfully in the end. The platform mechanics, while generic, are well implemented and the levels are well built for them. One thing I wish you would have done is add visual variation to the power-ups. I couldn't tell the difference between a rapid-fire and a health power-up. The music was also very nice and the sounds mixed in very well. The combat was fun and engaging. Overall, this was a wonderful little platformer.

Thank you for playing! :)
Yeah I wanted to do a visual representation of the second powerup but had issues with Unity. Also the "boss" at the end shrinks down once you hit him because I couldn't finish a second animation for getting hitted.

Would you want me to develop the game further? Add more story, detailed levels and maps, fine tune the mechanics, more mobs, different behaviours, powerups and skills?

Full disclosure, platformers aren't my personal favorite type of game, but I do think that with enough extra content and polish you could have a very fun platformer that many people would enjoy. If you're up to the challenge of continuing development, by all means do so :)

I really liked the pixel art in the game.

Developer

Thanks!
It's just 8x8 but it works for this kind of game.

Loved the atmosphere and gameplay! I didn't feel the theme implementation to be strong but overall it was an excellent game!

Thank you very much for playing! :)
We thought that "light" is implemented through destroying the enemies with light bullets/melee attacks.

I certainly didn't expected this kind of game. it has really good atmosphere and music. killing cat things was fun, they had variarity different patterns and moves. in short I liked it and I'll rate this game accordingly ^.^

Thanks for playing! :) It was a lot of work to get this type of atmosphere. The storymode was done with a little too less love because we had issues with Unity. I hope you still had some fun.

If you are not able to open the game for some weird issues, let me know.
