The idea was really cool! The screen is way to big, you weren't able to chose many menu options unless you zoomed out. It seems like you have infinite health. There is not much polish, which could have made the game MUCH better. A lot of the game + menus are broken. Collisions are really nasty and bugged. Its impossible to kill any of the enemys. The player was constantly going up + down which made it look disgusting when colliding at the bottom of the map. I feel it was impossible to progress in the game, so I gave up. I can tell this game was rushed XD.
It's just too difficult in my opinion. The first thing you see is a screen full of bullets, and an enemy which would be hard already without the player's projectiles disappearing if you try to fight it at a - for me - reasonable distance. Also they have a lot of health. At my best try I managed to defeat one... So it feels rather unfair...
Overall, from the description, the mechanic, that you can have the enemies, who you have killed, fight on your side sounds interesting and fun, and it really is a bullet hell. But sadly it was way too difficult for me.
I'm glad you at least liked the idea. I'll definetely implement difficulty settings so you can enjoy finishing the game :)
I'll also try and disable and enable bullets when you leave and enter rooms.
Thanks for your feedback!
I've never seen auto shooting done with mouse direction before, it's surprisingly difficult but interesting! I also liked using cover in the fights to deal with the intensity of the enemies. It'd be good to fix the screen size issue though zooming the page out was a good temp fix. Nice work and thanks for hosting the jam!
Glad you enjoyed my jam submission. Thanks! I may consider experimenting with WEBGL display size and see if the UI still holds up but maybe it will be too risky.
After 3 rooms I just couldn't get to the boss, but I could just walk off bounds and see everything offscreen by using space. Sadly I couldn't see much of the game except these 3 rooms. Also some feedback: I feel like enemies move to unpredictable, I see that they are following a path, but I couldn't figure the path out before getting hit at least thrice. Also I got shot a couple of times when I was in a room transition.
Oh to get to the boss you have to go to the middle room and then you'll notice an entry point at the top. You have to defeat all three enemies and corrupt all three rooms though.
Sorry about the unpredictable aspect of the game, I just wanted it to be challenging. Especially for the left room use the walls. I'll try and make the game less difficult maybe by showing a portion of the path the enemy is following.
And being shot a couple of times.. Yeah that was my mistake because enemies were shooting in the background on other rooms. I thought I coded something to stop the bullets but I guess that didn't work. I'll test more later.
And thanks for your feedback :)
