The visuals are great, and the music did set the atmosphere very well and dark.

Not the strongest narrative, but I thought it was pretty good.

There are some issues, like with the flashlight not loading properly when I enter a new scene, the A key doesn't seem to work, and on my second play through the character model doesn't load.

This was a nice atmospheric horror game. I like the old style pixel art. I'm not sure what happened to the dad because while he was talking, I accidentally walked over and opened the door before he finished. I also had some problems with the flashlight not turning on  sometimes when I clicked. Other than that, overall, a very well made game.

Thank you very much for playing! The flashlight needed some more work indeed, it also turns off for no reason between rooms. Glad you like the art, it's the one thing I have zero experience in.

I liked this a lot. It feels like a really well put together flash game from the 2005-10 era. I thought it was great. I had some issues with the flashlight. Sometimes if I entered a new room with the flashlight on, it would be off in the new room, but still in the on state. I could toggle it off (nothing happened) then toggle it back on and it would work normally again. Also the game only tells you to use the A, S, and D keys, but the D key doesn't work for me. I could use all the arrow keys normally. The story is pretty straightforward and done well, but I feel like it would be more effective if it was spread more throughout the game and not loaded in a big dialogue scene with your dad at the end. I really liked the art and the animations. I can't describe why, but this style of pixel art really does it for me. Awesome job, I would play a dozen more just like this.

Thanks a million for the extensive feedback! Agreed, the big info dump at the end is textbook bad writing but I ended to be short on time so I thought it beats no ending lol.

Hey! This was really fun and spooky! The narrative was really good ! The movement was a bit too fast, making it really hard to interact with things. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! Yeah, the movement was broken, I left a debug objects that speed up the player x4 :/
