Love the style, from the art to the gameplay itself. I'm glad it was recommended to me. I hope you make more games like this in the future!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
"It's my ma! I'm late for dinner!"
Wow, I am floored. What an incredible game. The story is extremely engaging, great character development and murder mystery. I love the subtle riddles throughout the game. Made me feel smart each time I solved them. Plus the artwork is super well done. It's honestly hard to believe this is a Jam game. Incredible. This game is genuinely inspiring.
BTW, love the homage to the Wilhelm scream in the tape recorder. Classic.
Also, did you write and record the music?!?
Thanks for the kind words. Our composer wrote and recorded the music. He also put in the Wilhelm scream. I'm sure he'll be happy you recognized it. We were afraid the riddles were too hard, so I'm glad you found them challenging but solvable.
The riddles were spot on for me! I honestly only felt stumped for a minute or two. To be fair though, I think the number pad one is likely to trip people up if they don't have at least some musical background. Even so, the fact that the player has nowhere else to go means its pretty obvious to find the hint.
This is amazing work.
I love the art, it reminds me of the exaggerated style of Sam and Max games but with it's own unique spin. Story is definitely the highlight of this one. Music is there to complement the gameplay, not the other way around (that said music was, so, so good).
Thanks Rey, I appreciate it a lot. I always try to write music that perfectly fits the gameplay without being overpowering.
To be compared to Sam and Max is one of the greatest compliments one can get, thanks <3<3
This is so fun! And large! Different characters, locations, minigames, puzzles... really cool. And music is spot on, well done!
wow, thanks Festus, such a nice feedback <3
Amazing :) I had a lot of fun, and didn’t think any of the puzzles were too hard (or too easy!).
Phew! We were worried that some puzzles were too difficult and people would get discouraged. Thanks for playing :)
that's great! Some people had some troubles with a couple of puzzles but we didn't want to make it easier because there has to be a challenge after all.
Excellent use of story, dialogue, puzzle design and artistic aesthetic!
This was a really fun game which had me hooked for the duration. Great job!:)
Amazing, thanks for your words and for playing! It's very satisfying to receive such good feedback :)
Love the music, mechanics, ambiance, story, and graphics. The dialogues and the interface look super neat. Like the dialogues with "Ma" hahaha
The animations are looking great. Also, the fact of being able to "skip" the dialogue, or show the whole sentence in one go is such a nice small touch. Super intuitive, love the cinematics and the fact that there are different gameplays in the game itself (referring to the minigames part of the story).
Really a good job from the whole team!
Thank you so much, it's very uplifting to read your comment
The art is really nice and the story was enjoyable! but i think he walks way to slow, and ot made searching for clues just frustrating, and after all of that i got stuck on a puzzle... :/
Good job for the team!
Thanks! After this period of testing we well consider allowing Nick to walk faster yo make the game more fast paced. Thanks for the feedback :)
Awesome! The visuals is fantastic, I love these characters, they all have their own personality. A very complete game.
thanks for your comment, it makes me so happy <3
A fun little game. I liked it. Really brought home that noir detective vibe.
With the second to last puzzle, I thought I had missed something earlier in the game. I was worried it was one of those classic Sierra, “You missed a vital clue earlier in the game so now you’re stuck!” However, it’s not like you didn’t try to give me enough clues.
The action bits were fun and a nice change of pace but I initially found the gun sections awkward. But I liked how in the second half of that section, using the gun could be avoided.
Thanks! We added the gun section to have two types of gameplay and give the player some variety. Working in this noir atmosphere was too fun.
The scripted gameplay is pretty cool, and I thought a lot of the dialogue was pretty funny.
thanks so much!
All aspects are so well polished. Very impressive the amount of quality scripted gameplay achieved in 2 weeks. The only section I didn't love was the platforming shooting section near the end. I liked the change of pace & 2 storylines aspect, that is really cool, but could be done slightly differently. Every thing else is perfect. Brilliant game!
Thanks for the feedback.
hi Dave, thanks! We really worked very hard the full two weeks to make a game with plenty of content. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Your game art style is fantastic...the gameplay is adorable...and the music is on point...After said this...I want to suggest something...but..I don't have any great suggestions. because it's too near to be a perfect game...The only thing I missed in the game is a way to run with the character in a normal scene or something like a fast walk cycle...because sometimes in these stories when the player must go back and front at level, is a little bit annoying if the character was too slow...In general is a genial game.
When you have time, please play my game too and send me feedbacks.

After I recover, I will definitely check it out. Glad you liked this game.
Thank you for your words! We loved working on this game and are happy to hear about things we can do to improve it. Already played your game and rated it ;)
I like the Noir theme, but I am not sure where to go after getting the note saying 'Hanna has the key'.
When you collect all the needed items, the mother at the bus stop should disappear, and the bus stop should activate. There are three needed items. Don't want to spoil what they are here.
Loved this game!! It is so visually appealing and a great mix of mysteries and action. Loved the characters and the backgrounds!
Thanks so much! I am glad you enjoyed it <3<3
Loved the game!! And the riddles were so cool along with the action sequences. The artwork was so classy and kind of immersive in a very old-school holywood-mafia way.. i liked it.
Thanks so much for playing!! Its so nice to hear such great feedback <3
not sure if you encountered this problem, but I didn't know how to fix it...
When I opened your game on my computer, it opened in a tiny window which I couldn't resize so I couldn't play your game :(
Haven't run into that problem yet. We'll see if more players encounter the same issue. Thanks for letting us know.
Some of the puzzles are apparently a little hard, so I am posting hints in my discord server. Thanks for playing! https://discord.gg/mmU8eCKZQH
Wow, great work putting together all this content for the 2 week jam! The action cutscene was a great addition. I'm currently stuck at the door requiring a keycode.
I'm posting hints in my discord server. I'd rather not put spoilers here right now. Thanks for playing, and let me know if you are still stuck.
