I was planning on making an action fps, but my ideas sound bland. I just wanted to discuss what any of you were thinking of doing. If anyone else is going to be making a 3d game in unity, I can probably pitch in any gameplay or programming ideas.
I think you should start brainstorming ideas when the jam starts and a topic is given. then using that topic you can think of an interesting game mechanic that relates to the topic. then you decide which genre of game best fits the game mechanic. (p.s. I don't recommend making a 3D game unless you are really comfortable with it.)
