when I upload to itch.io with gamemaker 2 it's a .zip file but when I put it in , it says after uploading that it needs to be an .html5 file but I can't find a way to convert please help. Thank You.
HTML5 is a language used to make websites, my guess is that you are trying to import the files into the space where you are supposed to make your page? I know little about Itch but I kno that HTMl5 has nothing to do with games and is there for websites, you must be doing something badly in itch io buddy.
There are two different types of upload files. Downloadables and Browser games. You can select which one you are uploading in the drop down box. Downloadables need a playable build, not an index.html file. The browser games require an index.html file in the zip to upload. I hope this helps.
