Oh man, I love the vibe here, very ominous. I love the contrast between the overworld visuals and that scene at the end, the tonal shift made it feel so much more serious and otherworldly. can't wait to check a full release!

It took me a while to get started since I got confused on the room transitions but after I got  my bearings it was a really charming game! The twist did give me chills a bit at the end and the setting gives off Coraline vibes, love it!

Developer(+1)

Coraline's a great reference point, really trying to straddle that line between cozy and horror! Thanks so much!

Fantastic job! The gameboy charm was flawlessly executed. Loved the story, especially the discovery of the secret passage -- wanted to play more after the ending -- the whole thing was very engaging!

Sidenote you can get softlocked if you open the fridge from a tile up lol

The fridge softlock is haunting me I've had this reported like three times now :')

Thanks for playing, gratified to hear the cliffhanger works! Hoping to put out a full version sometime in the spring.

Can't wait!

Oooh that ending, love the idea of exploring a world in your house no one knows . I am digging this one's direction and the color palette/color palette swaps but most of all the writing

Love the premise, finished it! One note, I felt it was a bit confusing where I could and couldn't go - lots of rooms that felt like they ended with a path that would have led to another room.

Very cool story setup! I got hooked by the reveal at the end of the demo.

functioning as intended~

Love the cliffhanger ending! It's more story driven than an actual game, but I didn't mind. Visuals were fantastic (esp the end) and I thought the writing was good too. I did spend a bit trying to give the dad the box in the beginning, but otherwise was really easy to follow. Excited to see what you do with it further!

PLEASE tell me this is just the beginning, because I WANT MOOORE! Fun art, REALLY great writing, and overall a cute, brief experience that leaves you wanting more! The little cutscene at the end is what really got me, I'd love to see more of that should you do more with this world/characters.

Can confirm this is just a first rough test lord Scrumbo- hoping to release a full-fledged version around March/April~
