The story is presented in a quite boring and unpleasant way. Would be better to make it shorter and spend more time on the gameplay itself. You can complete the race by turning around and crossing the finish line from the opposite side. It's also a bit strange that the other cars are not trying to win, they just follow you and fully ignore the environment. Anyway, nice approach.
I liked how the car got better and faster throughout the game though I wish turning was easier
Hi! Just played your game though and thought to leave some comments on my experience in case you enjoy hearing your players experiences:
Overall, I liked the concept of combining two very different genres like racing games and stories. It was an interpretation of the theme that I wouldn't have thought of myself.
If there is something else you would like to ask from a player of your game, I'm happy to answer for a specific question you might have. Otherwise, if you happen to try our jam game at some point, please consider letting us know what you think of it.
Holy crap the volume is LOUD! LoL need a volume slider 100% Wasn't sure what to do when all the cars were destroyed seems like the easiest thing to do is destroy all the cars, respawn and win the race.
thanks for testing. I just gave it another run through and didnt experience any loud audio though, so ill see if it remains an issue for anyone else. But yea, we did not put in a volume slider so that would be helpful lol. Im realizing as well the GameOver component doesnt activate in the first race but it does in all of the others. Thanks for the feedback!
Audio level felt like normal when I was playing the game. But other cards getting destroyed leading to an easy victory happened to me as well.
