Really Fun game, I like it.
That sounds great! Thanks for playing it, and I'm glad you found it fun!
Really Fun game, I like it.
Good visuals, good gameplay, nice puzzle, enjoyable in my opinion. Good job.
Thanks for playing Double Dose! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
haha no instructions in the description for playing, but i figured out. mention the gameplay also so the playe can find it easy. the puzzle plateformers are my type , i liked this game. if you increase the gravity while falling it would feel more alive also when i am jumping and there is ssomething on the side, i can jump infinitely. you can change it to only one. overall great game ..
Thanks for your feedback! You're right—I forgot to include the instructions, but in the end, I thought it would be intuitive to figure out.
About the jumps, you're also right about the gravity, but I couldn’t implement it due to time constraints. The same goes for properly handling wall collisions, which lets you jump multiple times. But hey, that's part of the jam! Haha.
Cheers!
yupp , game jams are awesome ways to get feedback and improve. ! also enjoy the process.
I like the co-op idea. :)
Also had some ideas: You could maybe add a little co-op puzzle or some obstacles that the other player can activate. i personally would go for a puzzle for a more cooperative experience. seems to fit the story too.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my game. I'll take your ideas into consideration. In fact, I had them in mind because I think they would make the game more fun, but due to the limited time I had, I couldn't implement them. Actually, I was even thinking of making it for up to 4 players, with a screen split into 4... Do you think it would work? What do you think?
a 4 player co-op sounds fun, just go for it :)
Big + for your own art that looks really good, gameplay feels nice and also I like the coop idea! Good job!
Thank you so much for your message and for playing my game. I think I'm going to explore cooperative games in more detail. They're really fun!
Elegant, well-developed concept, hardly any bugs, great graphics, good atmosphere, and above all, fantastic music.
A great game!
I'm really glad you liked my game. I'm satisfied with having achieved that atmosphere you mentioned in such a short time. I think that's key to giving the game its personality. I'll keep experimenting with ideas and see what good comes out of all this.
A simple platformer with added co-op twist! I love the concept and the theming of the game, the pixel arts are also really cute.
I wish the two characters interact with one another more, but other than that, great game!
Thank you so much for your comment! I definitely thought about having both characters interact, but I didn't have enough time to fully plan and implement it. I'll definitely keep it in mind!
It's a great idea for a game, I liked that it's a cooperative game, it's addictive.
I'm really flattered that you used the word 'addictive.' It makes me think I'm on the right track. Of course, there's still a lot to refine, but this is a great start for a good idea. Thanks for your feedback!
Very competitive game, great for co-op play, I really liked the sound effects.
Thanks for playing my game and giving me feedback. I also really liked the sound effects—I think they give a lot of personality and uniqueness to the characters. I hope you also liked the music; I particularly enjoyed creating it!
it was a good game you can make it better
Thank you for playing!
It's a nice looking game with gameplay that reminds me a lot of fireboy and watergirl, however the double jump doesn't work sometimes and the first time I played the purple character reached 0 health but didn't die, and I also think the darkness is too much and made it so I couldn't see the ground and didn't know if it was safe or not (unless this is an intended gameplay mechanic, which is valid). Overall it's a nice short game that is probably better enjoyed with friends, good work!
Thank you for playing my game and for your feedback! You're absolutely right about what you mentioned; these are things I'm aware of, but due to time constraints, I couldn't refine them. Still, this experience gave me an idea that I think could work in a more developed game. Also, as you said, this could be great for playing with friends, making it even more fun.
Once again, thanks for your comment! 😊
creative gameplay idea
Thank you! This is my first game jam, and it has been an incredibly fun and eye-opening experience to see what can be achieved when working with tight deadlines
