How does the game fit into the theme?
You are only allowed to move forwards, outrunning a wave as it slowly floods the beach. This means that the player can miss out on combos once they advance past each row of tiles.

What premade assets did you use if any?
No assets were premade for this game jam. The font I used is DPComic Font by codeman38: https://www.1001fonts.com/dpcomic-font.html

Gotta say, I'm a huge fan of the combo mechanic. Planning out my moves in advance felt really fun, and being able to chain moves was a big part of why. However, at some points there was, well, no way forward, with rocks spawning in such a way that I was unable to move far enough horizontally to get past them. Also, sometimes my move chains were too long, and I got caught by the wave before I was able to finish the turn. Aside from those minor issues, it's a really great experience!

It's a little confusing but once you get it, it's addictive and fun, good game

Really enjoyed this! It took a couple of false starts to get the hang of it but once I was in the groove it felt like I could just keep playing forever.
