- The perspective made it hard to tell collision at the top of the board and I think the homing enemies had a bit too low of a turning radius which made dodging them less reaction based and more about messing with their trajectory. Movement felt pretty good and I liked the escalation you made with the levels, great job! --- 20/40

I think this game was quite polished and well-executed! The difficulty ramped up nicely too! Perhaps decreasing the angle, as another reviewer mentioned, would help and I would also really love for it to have some music.
Great use of half life style tutorial-level design. Also, I found the difficulty curve to be really good.
The only complaint I've got is that the perspective view makes movement slightly harder. A fix could be to either decrease the slant or use raised 2D sprites.
Anyways, great game.
I really like this concept, it's challenging yet still fun. I think my only gripes are that the background is a little stale, maybe if it was like a picture typically taken and put on social media? Also, maybe the enemies could be like dislike thumbs or something? Idk just spitballing, but it was a great game overall!
It interested me that the background was an instragram tile but devoid of content - like maybe the "internet avatar" you're playing in the game is overthinking what to post that will get them all the likes, clicks, hearts, and external validation they feel they need.
One thing I would have liked was a counter that tells you how many hearts you've collected so that you know how close you are to the next level.
Nice challenging twist on the bullet-hell genre. Even after 3 tries I couldn't get past the homing + death block level due to my lack of skill, but I still enjoyed playing.
For me, the one thing that's missing is sound effects or background music to amp up the experience a bit.
Overall, well done!
Gotta give this one a heart! Really cool concept, connection through Instagram hearts is a cool twist on the theme. The level variety is pretty fun, could use a bit more visual variety between level and maybe like a heart counter or something but that's just icing on the cake. Great work! Keep it up!
It's actually pretty fun. Can't say I've ever been more intimidated by a spinning frowning face before in my life. The lack of sound was especially terrifying and made me feel that something especially unnerving.
Overall, the graphics were nice, I'm not sure if the lack of sound was intentional, but it definitely gave the game an eerie vibe to it. The overall theme and underlying message of the game were we require likes to feel a connection and that as time goes on we require more and more of these likes to maintain that connection really hit home. Good game.
