I won! Pretty cool idea and calm vibes, music suddenly cut off after a while so I was nervous about getting jump scared :D but there wasn't any fortunately.
Enjoyed playing it, and I made it to the top!
The controls were a bit stiff for my taste, and would have liked the leaf density to start high and decrease as we climb up.
Also I saw it was your first game, huge congrats on making it, it's a good one!

Thanks so much for the feedback and link to you playing it, it was really cool to see someone try it out! This was our first game jam, and first "finished" game ever, so definitely some rough edges. I meant to go back and fine tune leaf density and the jumping to make it fun but not too hard, but didn't end up with enough time. Definitely wasn't intentionally as hard as it ended up being. I think I'll go back and try at least getting some tuning fixed to improve the starting out experience.
It took me a moment to understand the mechanics but I finished the game :) probably something went wrong at the end because I saw some screen for a moment and it came back to the main screen immediately. I couldn't read what was there. Good job :)
You know that picture of a horse where it becomes a stick figure at the end? Yeah, the end screen is part of that stick figure :) It's bugged, but you aren't missing much.
Thanks for playing it and giving feedback! I agree it could use an actual tutorial to explain the mechanic rather than the typed explanation and maybe an easier level to start on.
