At first I tried using the arrow keys, but for me that scrolled the whole game page (using Chrome). Using ASD was fine though.
I too had trouble understanding to begin with. Once I got it, I found it interesting but very difficult.
It looks great, all the visual effects suit the gameplay and the theme. Nice choice of music too.
Really nice look and concept. I had a hard time understanding what I was supposed to be doing the first few plays but I think I got the hang of it. It did sometimes feel a little inconsistent how long you get locked in the files (viruses seemed to hold me forever, data seemed to slip by much quicker). As Local Minium said, I think you could benefit by simplifying the start and having it serve as a psuedo tutorial (i.e, send 1 piece of data solo until the player can hack it). Good work though.
Really interesting fall fast to get more time with hack-mechanics. I managed to hack a few codes, but I think the start should be easier. Not speaking about avoiding viruses, that was quite easy, but getting into the habit and feeling for hacking. So more time typing.
Nice entry! I included it in part 10 of my Cyberpunk Jam compilation video series, if you'd like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/Y-8YP7iQFW4
Nicely done!
I am not that fast in typing so I definitely such at this game :)
Also, I found that the bounce from the side walls is a little bit too much.
