What did you put in it to make it 1.7GB in a 1 day game jam ?

It is a .unitypackage file and the game contains a terrain,a third person controller and tons of grass

i think the texture / models of the game are a bit to much for the purpose of the game jam

you could compress it, decrease the textures of the game and decimate the models but i dont think this solution will make the size of the project 1 GB

I guess my grass is a bit too dense maybe?I remember my first build of this game is only a few hundred mbs

You only need to upload those three folders: Assets, Packages and Project settings. Everything else will be created when the other dev will open it on their PC

Yeah i guess it is a bit too dense

Hope the next dev(if there will be) can find a way to fix that...My opacity was set to nearly 0 but it still generate dense grass

Unity Grass system is not so good for FPS, there are a lot of good tutorials on youtube, like the youtuber MinionsArt
