Question about rules pertaining to combat

So I happened to be paying special attention to the rule about there having to be "3D exploration at all times rule, except for town screens, and point to point navigation."

Let's say that I wanted my game to be like Shining in the Darkness, another 3D dungeon adventure game. The difference between that game and something like Eye of the Beholder is that during combat, you can't freely move around because you are "locked in place" and have to engage in combat, unless you try run away I guess...

So, if I made my game like that, would that be a violation of the exploration rule, or am I just overthinking everything? I'm just trying to explore ways to make my game feel unique and innovative, that's all.

A separate combat screen akin many of the eastern dungeon crawlers (Shining in the Darkness, Shin Megai series etc) is allowed :)

Thanks for replying. I think I was just being afraid of being disqualified over something nitpicky.
