I don't like the small steps and the game is a bit rough, the enemies stopped working after the first one in the second level, letting me get through the end. It's definitely a good implementation of the theme though'.
Regardless of whether or not this constitutes a Dungeon Crawler with the grid size, this was pretty nifty concept for a game, and I feel like you only just scratched the surface in terms of how controlling the two sides at once can be utilized.
Things like deliberately utilizing the environment to desync your movements, or puzzles with cross-dimensional effects. There's something in this.
Also, do mein ears deceive me, or is that a Bill & Ted guitar lick?
If one of your characters gets stuck, they both would be misaligned, thus making the game quite hard since they are not in the same position. Also, as others have pointed out, the grid size is too small than what it should be.
Really interesting take on the jam’s theme! The grid size was a little small, and since you had to tap for each step, it took a while to move around. I did the same exact thing last jam.
I encountered a bug where, after killing one bad guy, the rest of the toaster-head boys stopped responding and just let me win the game.
Thank you!! We love the idea and think that could make an interesting game in the future! Thanks for the bug report! I guess we didn't notice it when testing haha
I would say this has the best implementation of the theme out of all the games I have played so far! The idea is super creative and quite fun.
I do think that this game definitely still needs some work though. I regularly clipped through walls if I just walked into them from the side when standing in a doorway.
The visual design could be a bit more cohesive. Some aspects seemed a bit mismatched.
But as I said before: The core mechanic is good! So the problems mentioned before did not keep me from playing and enjoying it. :)

The concept of controlling two sides was interesting. Some of the enemies didn't couldn't take damage and didn't attack back.

This is a doomcrawler. Grid size pushing the limits of smallness.
Level 1 worked, so I'll take getting through it as the win condition. Level 2 seemed partially made. The enemies just stood there.
There were stats.
Tragic hunting accident.
