  • It had that excellent NES gameplay feel, coupled with some really unsettling sprite work.

This title has an interesting art style to it and simplistic game mechanics. At the same time it gives you an interesting story that is engaging enough to keep you going to the next level. Seeing this comes from the dev behind The Horror of Salazar House the art direction makes sense but I actually like the different direction this takes towards horror. Maldo19 is definitely an indie developer I would keep my eye on in the future if you enjoy unique horror experiences both in gameplay and visuals.

Check out my experience here!

This game was worth playing for the mood and visuals alone, but I also ended up really liking the way the gameplay works! I have a pretty bad brain though so I had a hard time memorizing which specific places to avoid and had to try a few times, but it's an overall cool spooky experience

Thank you for playing! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! :)

I love the CRT-like effect and the rain section. Gameplay-wise, I figured partway through that the enemies sprint towards you whenever your side is exposed to them and that made the game a lot easier.

There is, however, a lot of backtracking when you die and I wonder if it would have been better to have checkpoints every 3 people saved to avoid the tedium of going through the same path.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :) And yeah, I'm sorry about that, If I have the time I'll definitely work on a post-jam version that has a better checkpoint system.

I really digged your visual style and those little animated pixely scenes. Gameplay wise the enemies you designed are a bit unforgiving haha. It was like playing a cursed prototype of an old GTA 2D.

Well done !

Thank you so much for the feedback and for playing! :) I know that they are a little unforgiving, I had the nes-difficulty sindrome, so oops.
