Good morning, day, and night, Dream Jammers!!

Hopefully by now a good night’s sleep has supplied you with a cornucopia of inspiration.

In case you are still hurting to recall any of it, tonight’s piece might help. Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique may be fairly regarded as one of the earliest forms of surrealism and psychedelia in music. Inspired by an unhappy, largely unrequited love affair between professionals of a common caliber and field of interest, the piece of Romantic Era program music tells the story of a young man whose infatuation with a woman leads him into a drug-fueled trip. The last and most dynamic movement is entitled the “Dream of a Witches’ Sabbath”. I’ll leave the rest to your own research and imagination. Suffice it to say: the girl married him after hearing this.
