Nice bit of atmospheric exploration.

spoilers It's hard to do a parser in a Petite Mort, but I do wish nouns mentioned in the bedroom, for example, were implemented. I was also confused why the bedroom continued to be dark even when I had the flashlight turned on.

And the glowing human figure was mysterious, but seemingly inert beyond its one-line description? Maybe I didn’t get the right verb.

This is a great start to what could be a fun story if developed further.

Thank you for playing. Yeah, the issues with missing noun implementations and rooms described as "dark" (even after light is provided) are down to a lack of time, and will be fixed if I return to this.

spoilers below:

You can't interact with the ghosts (though making one appear in the attic is necessary to get the flashlight). However, you should definitely try to examine them more than once, to learn something important.

An intriguing game! I'm always up for a good "explore the haunted house" story! I'd definitely be interested in seeing a more developed version of this idea. One suggestion is perhaps to motivate the player a bit more to do some of the more dangerous actions (like depicting the wires as cut so the player would want to tie them together).

I really dig the idea! The game in this state is obviously unfinished, as very few of the things mentioned in the descriptions are actually there. I know it's hard to code a puzzle game in 4 hours. I'll review the rating in the occasion of a post-comp revamp. (PS: how many ways to die are there?)

Thank you very much for playing and commenting. Yes, it will need polishing up post-comp.

There are only two ways to die. If I return to it, I'd love to add more.
