amazing, It feels like the port of doom to game boy, but it plays much better.
The enemies are unsettling and the textures are a bit confusing at first, but you get used to it and you stop getting lost.
I love the lines the game drops when you die.
Just a detail, when you grab a coin, it shouldn't stop appearing? I feel like that reinforces the feeling of finding them as secrets and would make them more special.
Anyways, I really like it. God job.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! When you are talking about the coin, do you mean that the coins re-appear everytime you die/restart the level? I feel like having the coins re-appear when you die is actually a good thing since the guardians take a coin instead of killing you instantly if you have any, making some of the levels a lot more comfortable to play in my opinion.

have a nice day :)

WOW! I'm very curious how you got this effect, is that real 3d? btw i'd love to get some feedback on my game, if you have time consider trying it!

Developer(+1)

yeah its actually 3d its just set to 160x144p which is the resolution of the original gameboy. I made it so that the resolution scale adjusts to whatever screen resolution you have so it doesnt blur out

got it!

Very impressive did you use a shader?

no i basically disabled all the shadows except for the cel shading for the bullet and some of the tiles in level 8
