I really liked the charm of the game and the hub world was really cool. The dash mechanic feels great and most of the other controls felt smooth too. Aiming down to shoot was only working for me when I jumped however. I'm not sure if this was intended or a bug as the instructions in level 1-1 didn't seem to mention having to jump. I also had the game crash twice on me, once when I tried to enter world 1-1 and the other time within a few seconds of returning to the hub. Aside from that, I had a lot of fun and the combination of visuals and music is really good.

Thank you very much for taking the time to play the game and provide the feedback. I am really glad you were able to have some fun playing the game, that is the best feedback I could have hoped to hear.

Really sorry about the crashes you experienced. I appreciate if you could tell me if you tried the game on Windows 10 or Windows 11, so I can further explore the issue.

Regarding the feedback on the controls, I am glad that you felt the controls were smooth, that is super important for a platformer like Automatonics.

Regarding the aiming down ability, it is in fact intended to work only when you jump, the instructions should indeed be more clear. Anyway, for future development it seems like it could be useful to review the aiming down ability, and maybe allow it when the player is on ground. Thanks for pointing that out.

You're welcome! For the crashes, I was playing on Windows 10 not Windows 11.

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 6! My name's Hythrain, and I'm one of the hosts and streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live on my stream.

So since my old save data was working, I started off with what I had and went into the next level I could. However, upon completing it I... couldn't get out. XD

The only real thing I can comment on are the blocks you have to hit to disable. These don't work with your regular shot and there are times where you simply can't jump through them without getting hit. This is about the only thing I can say is not in good design: if an obstacle is unavoidable, it makes the player feel like they're being unfairly treated.

Hello. Sorry about the issue you had. Since the previous versions of the game were developed on Godot 3 (0.0.2.X), and the new versions (0.0.3.X) were developed on Godot 4, the save files are not compatible. This probably resulted in the game not being able to properly get you out of the level at the end. I will try to replicate the issue here.

It seems like you played level 1-3 based on the description. Indeed an alternative path could be added to give an option for the player to give up a collectible and move on with the level, in case the they run out of the required ammo. That would be more fair.

Thank you very much for the feedback.
