TORB is a very old project that we have been playing with on and off for almost 6 years. We dusted it off for the FFS Jam because we knew it was special, but never quite got the shine and polish it deserved. When you make a game about a crystal dimension of infinite, unique sword battles, you pay for it with some mysteries. To be honest, we don't really know all the crazy stuff that can happen in TORB. Its never lived out in the wild, so be prepared for some unpredictable things. Its a crazy little game, it loves to be played and its can always surprise you!

Great game! The visuals work really well both aesthetically and to easily identify what enemies are. Once you start figuring out how to get you crystalbot to do what you want, combat gets much more rewarding. Pulling off a perfectly timed samurai/joust-like maneuver or high altitude leap slash feels great. The movements were smooth but I felt like the camera acceleration might have been too high, cause I would frequently whip around usually spinning to far when I tried to change directions. Also getting your sword stuck on opponents can get frustrating, I almost wish there was a sort of bounce-back when your strike is blocked or doesn't kill, to get you back in the action quicker. One last thing, I would love 1 different type of motion for attacking to give some variety, like a thrust. Still, was a fun physicy fighter.
Thanks for this very thoughtful stuff! We are always exploring more ways to play TORB and we will deinetly keep feedback like this in mind.
This is my favorite of the jam. Takes a little while to get used to the controls but once you do you get incredibly satisfying combat, with epic moves like jumping on an enemy from above and slashing them to death. Great variety of enemies, pretty surroundings, smooth controls.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm glad you like it!
