Cool ideas for creating customized and unique weapons. I think it might need more polish in various areas (e.g. the table with 1D6 or using a D10 when FIST uses only D6s).
The traits are nice and distinctive but there are too few of them and most give more of a funny vibe than a real military feeling.
This reminds me of the Dungeon World approach to adding mechanics and color to weapons without necessarily just modifying damage, which is a fun way to handle it (Possessive is a great one!). I also appreciate the lighthearted tone of a CYCLOPS operative entering this info who is just too tired to care anymore.
I think a little more editing would have really elevated this (e.g., table one of Weapon Generation and Modification says roll 1D6 but includes 12 items). Also, it might minimize confusion to keep Traits as a character reference and note these as weapon Qualities, but that's a minor quibble.
Solid entry, over all!
A list of traits to give weapons a little more panache than 1d+1. It’s an interesting idea, but I would save this for special occasions, like the signature weapon of a named enemy. It could also be mixed with Codex UDO to create new artifacts for your teams to recover and/or destroy.
Love the weapon traits, they are very cool and useful!
