everything in this is so spot -- it's so good it hurts
(as a small note, you call the first score "public opinion" and later call it "public perception." i'm probably the only person who was at all confused by this but just wanted to let you know haha)
Nailed it
I've never done something like this, but I think it's really cool. This would be a very fun writing exercise for classes or writing groups! Quick, fun, and well done!
I was a Social Media Influencer attending a gala for the Hottest Influencer Parents. I didn't dress on brand, but did a really good job pretending that was intentional. A student protest formed claiming that "Influencer families hurt children more than help them."
While I wasn't Able to afford a private jet, I was able to secure a private jet set and take some pictures on it, then uploaded those on my bus ride to the gala, most of my followers never knew the difference! The public wasn't super thrilled with my flippant attire and private jet travel.
I tried desperately to mingle with top tier influencers, but was mostly shunted to their assistants or low-level influencers. We pretended to know about each other and mentioned how we were just one lucky upload from breaking out.
All of that ground to a halt as a fire spread outside, I quickly uploaded a stream condemning the student protestors for disregarding public safety and disrupting such an important event. Later, an influencer attending the gala would upload a video of them starting the fire in an attempt at gathering more followers, their attempt worked, but landed them in prison for 8 years, so we'll see if those followers stick around that long. My publicist chastised me for my live stream as it was relentlessly mocked once the true culprit of the fire was revealed.
I ended up losing a lot of my followers, but luckily through it all my hardcore fans stuck by me, thank you mom and dad!
i’ve never played a journaling game like this before! it was kinda cathartic to pretend to be a “museum” gala celebrity but also depressing.
my event was called the “meta gala” the theme was “a charitable cause,” and i wore blue for my cause, “the ocean,” which i posted about on social media before the student protestors got tear gassed.
