This one is really good! My favourite of the non-digital games so far. I like how you can play it on your own with very little in materials needed, and how it makes you think and challenges your creativity. Ends up being a very interesting storytelling tool, and the available events make for good thoughts to be had, as they are so community-focused, too.

Excellent work!

This jam introduced me to this kind of thing and I really enjoy it. Such a fun writing exercise, I love the amount of thought and detail put into this, and had a lot of fun with it!

I was an Art Deco building in a Sprawling Suburb, I was constructed with Sturdy Materials. A recent renovation left me in great shape.

Year 1

Fall - Nickname

Le Hotel Gargle, due to the gargoyles that appear to be gargling. It does feel a little demeaning, but at least the residents are having fun... I do wish they'd quit trying to throw things into the gargoyles' mouths though.

Winter - Beloved resident leaves

Kathy lost her battle with cancer, it hurts but she had family by her side and passed in her bed, better than being stuck in one of those characterless hospitals

Spring - Advice to graduates

Don't get complacent, but ensure you take time to enjoy life.

Summer - It's hot!

I hate when it's hot and my A/C wasn't included in the renovation, so it isn't great inside or out. At least I'm tall so residents do find some respite in my shade and my windows are tall letting in a fair amount of air.

Year 50

Fall - Festival

It's the 4th Annual Fall Frog Festival, and the most successful one yet. The leap frog competition somehow managed to draw teams from other cities in the state!

Winter - Children leave gifts on their windows for me

It's a goof tradition that started over a decade ago, the children leave sweet treats on their windows, as a way to encourage my heating systems to hold up through the cold winter months. Of course their parents end up eating the treats, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

Spring - Immigrant Couple Moves In

Refugees from some distant war, they marvel at the size of their unit, but are a little dismayed that gig internet isn't available.

Summer - Another power outage

Residents have petitioned the owner to install solar panels and a generator, but he claims he can't afford it just yet, give it another year or two, rent is going to have to increase!

Year 75

Fall - Residents relatives urging them to move

I'm getting old, the regular power outages, aging HVAC, and rent hikes aren't worth it

Winter - Increased packages

I love seeing all of the presents coming and going, it's nice to know that the children will soon leave their treats for me, I can't believe the tradition has survived this long!

Spring - Favorite new born and family

The refugee family now has 3 generations of family living under my roof, it's been great to see them integrate with their new community and the youngest member is absurdly cute, if not a bit noisy.

Summer - More kid friendly

The owner still hasn't updated the HVAC, but did set up an above ground pool to help the kids keep cool this summer. There have already been a few parties hosted around the pool!

Year 100

Fall - Young people leaving

I'm disappointed to see the younger generation move on, I hope they're going on to do great things, but losing their energy and zest for life is hard.

Winter - Weather damage

The HVAC finally gave out, but the families are hot... At the owner for putting off fixing it for so long. Stores were low on space heaters, so some altruistic families are sharing spaces, it's not comfortable, but I think we'll pull through.

Spring - Valentines Day

Luckily my solid construction can still handle the additional rocking this time of year causes.

Summer - One unit always dramatic

It's the unit that Kathy passed in, over the local mythos of the unit has changed, but the outcome is always the same the residents can't seem to keep their emotions in check... Kathy always did enjoy a good soap opera.

Restoration - Summer, Demoltion - Spring

Final - Despite some protests the mayor sales my deed, luckily it's to an esteemed planner who appreciates my rich history.
