Good job! The game looks great. I think it needed a few more sound effects to tell you how well you hit the notes, when you levelled up/down etc.

Mine didn’t load, here’s what the console says. Was using it on Brave, but it does load on Safari.

Wow! Even though I'm terrible at rythm games, I really enjoyed playing the game. The game looked great, the controls were clear and simple but I felt it missed a bit of oomph and perhaps some visual feedback when you leveled up and down? At one point everything was so fast that it was one lovely blue and green blur.

The game felt polish, although would've been great if there's sound/visual feedback when leveled up so that I can feel the increase in difficulty.

Interesting concept. The main issue that I had was trying to read the text at the beginning as it rushed down screen. Consider pausing the game at the beginning (when the blocks are half-way down) to explain which blocks to hit.

I thought I've made them slow enough for them to be readable, sorry if that's not the case! :D

I like the general idea of the game but it is far from polished enough to be playable from my perspective, I especially had a lot of issues with syncing the beats, such as the hitsound not being instant and thus being offbeat.

Developer

You can adjust the beat sync at the start of the game.
As for the hitsound, it's played as soon as you press the button and it lasts for 0.1s I'm not an audio person so it was good for me, but I can imagine person with better ears to see the fault there

I could not get it properly synced using the slider at the start of the game sadly, I spend about 30 minutes trying to tweak it without victory.

As for the delayed sample, I have a suspicion that the hitsound sample itself starts with a silence in it.

Actually you are right.
I've just checked that, audio file indeed has a relatively long pause before actual SFX is played.
Too bad I didn't notice that on time :D

I really liked playing your game ! As theChief_ said, it is beautiful with a real attention to details :)

I would have loved having some moments of pause to give my eyes a bit of rest though :)

wow. Loved this, so visually clean and simple - IMO this is the best looking game of the lot. Simple mechanics - easy to learn, tough to master. I'll admit that I'm not great at rhythm games that don't involve lightsabers, so once I hit stage two I was a little bit lost - but that doesn't detract from the experience at all.

Loved the extra juice - the red flash on the bar at the bottom when you miss, and the parallax & camshake. One thing I would love though is for the green squares to flash white when you successfully hit one! An incredibly minor nitpick, but a nitpick nonetheless ;)
