An interesting idea for an arcade game!
The theme interpretation is pretty on point here, thanks to the gameplay mechanics. You play as a white ball, and you need to leap from platform to platform, to escape the incoming red boundary. Of course, you cannot really escape it, you can only run as far from it as you can, which will rise your score. Leaping far forward, is pretty risky, but you can gain a lot of points from it, which can be considered as going out of boundaries! The gameplay is pretty solid and fun, but it gets boring pretty quick; there should be more content in it in my opinion.
The minimalistic graphics of this game, are okay, but I think they're a bit too minimalistic. I would suggest adding some backgrounds in the levels, and maybe some more camera movement effects. Also, I would suggest adding more music tracks. The current musics that are in this game, aren't bad, but they might get repetitive after while, and thus irritating.
It's an alright arcade game, that has an interesting idea for itself, and fits the theme well! I've also tried to reach the score of 1000 on hard mode, but I couldn't reach more than 550 unfortunately.
Glad you liked the idea! I think that more camera effects is an interesting idea, I will keep that in mind if I create another game like this. As for the music, I made then in about five minutes because I didn't really know how I wanted the game to feel. Nice job on the hard mode score, it's quite impressive! Thanks for your feedback!
Pretty fun! The music get's annoying after a bit.
But still very fun to play, congrats
Glad you enjoyed! As for the music, I wasn't really sure what I wanted the game to feel like so I just made four measures of intenseness.
Surprisingly for a game with such a minimalistic aesthetic, there's quite a strong atmosphere. The music and sound really helped build a sense of tension, and the subtly increase in screen shake helped, too. Nice job!
Thank you!
Nice game! I’m not very good at it, but I like the concept!
Thanks!
My best score is 459 in easy mode.
Nice!
