Theme interpretation
When you think about moonshot, most people would think about space and going to the moon and stuff, but all I could think of at the time was sailor moon, so I thought I should make the game be about battles between magical girls, and I also thought about incorporating Japanese and Chinese mythos about the moon into the game, which ended up with the game here.

Really cool match-3 puzzle game! I love the graphics and the different effects depending of the color match, the special power it is also a nice touch.
Well done!
Wow, this is probably the game I spent the most time on :D
Mixing story and gameplay in that way was kind of genius, it motivated me enough to get to the end.
The gameplay seems to have a lot of depth to it with the different kinds of circles but often you don't have time to think about what would be your best move (maybe a turn based game would fit more ?).
Also there isn't enough visual feedback about board movement, making it quite confusing sometimes.
Otherwise, great game !
I'm glad you enjoyed the story, it actually had a lot of world building and rich lore to it but the story itself is quite self contained, maybe the story could use a little expansion in the future, as I really like the universe we created.
The gameplay itself was an idea I had for a long time, kind of like an arcade puzzle versus game (think puyo pop or tetris battle) with some RPG elements sprinkled in. I initially just wanted to make it a 2 player game but then I thought I really liked games with a story focus so I decided to make it single player with a story mode (I ended up not having enough time to make the 2 player versus mode for the jam, but I'm thinking to keep working on the game to add that in!)
A heart-warming game with a touching story!
I could imagine this being polished further with smoother animations (to get a better perception of the bubbles which have exploded and which are going downwards as a consequence of that) and perhaps a better way of introducing the game mechanics. I lost the first two times but could much more easily beat the last few levels after gaining a bit of practice.
Thanks for your review! Yeah it does lack a lot of polish which I would've tried doing if I had a bit more time, agreed that one of the things I would improve on is better visual indicators, sound effects and animations to indicate clearing of the bubbles and an actual in-game tutorial or perhaps tutorial levels that introduce game mechanics one by one.
