Theme interpretation
Traversing the endless abyss of space is considered impossible, but so is surviving an asteroid field so thats why our submission was created with the idea of a space themed flappy bird style game.

Cool and simple concept! As an improvement point, I believe it would benefit from some more differentiation between things you can collide into vs background elements. By the way, "xattr -cr /path/to/application.app" fixed the issues for me.

I also get the "the file has been damaged and should be moved to the trash." message. :(
Please try running this command in terminal and let me know if this fixes it :)

Having the same problem, the game crashes when I try to run it

When I try to play this game, I get an error that the file has been damaged and should be moved to the trash.
Thank you for reporting the problem, I will try to see if there's anything on my end that can be done. In the meantime, try downloading the file again and try again. Usually Macs try to block anything not from the App Store so it will come up with that message, I'll get back to you asap if I've found anything. Let me know if my suggestion has worked for you.
Mac does block things not from the app store, but there are plenty of games in this jam where I can bypass that. This game seemingly has a major issue in it.
Which version were you on when you made this?
MacOS version? Sorry, we are very new to using Github as well as itch.io, we also do not have an Apple Developer ID either so that is part of the problem.
Yes, Mac OS version.
And yeah, most people on here don't have a developer ID, yet their downloadable versions still work.
That specific error message is from apps that are on an old framework that isn't supported by Catalina.
My MacOS is on Big Sur (11.0.1) so not entirely sure what's happening with that. Thanks for the help!
