MacOS version? Sorry, we are very new to using Github as well as itch.io, we also do not have an Apple Developer ID either so that is part of the problem.
Thank you for reporting the problem, I will try to see if there's anything on my end that can be done. In the meantime, try downloading the file again and try again. Usually Macs try to block anything not from the App Store so it will come up with that message, I'll get back to you asap if I've found anything. Let me know if my suggestion has worked for you.
