I was never able to collect all the rings, but I did manage to land quite a few times. I think some audio would do wonders for this game. Also, making it easier to change directions when you're spinning in one direction might be a good change. It's very easy to lose control as it stands, but maybe that difficulty was intended.
Nothing like a good successful crash ... I mean ... landing. :D
Thank god SpaceX has more successful landings.
