The platforms and the knockback could do some improvements, as most of the times I want to jump up to another platform, then get stuck because of under the cliff, gets hit by the enemies almost send my character to the sky and can't really get around the enemy to hit. Anyway, hope you're happy developing your game!
Really love the idea, the protagonist always survives because the plot needs him too is the oldest and greatest of clichés. Liked how it's translated into a simple mechanic such as spawning bombs on your death (it was your plan all along). The gameplay however is perhaps too simplistic with a "kill all enemies in the map to progress" structure; Invisible platforms, lack of UI to tell you if you have plot armor left, unprecise hitboxes and similar issues make it a bit tedious of an experience and I see how many players would abbandon the game over them. Also the graphics are not really consistent with some characters looking out of place or even blurry because of resizes. I really see a lot of potential, keep up the good work!
Extra tip: Godot allows html5 web export which would bring a lot more people to test the game since not everyone downloads games, keep that in mind for future jams
Couldn't get onto some platforms! Game needs a lot of polish. I liked that we had a path choice at the start, cool feature.
The idea is cool and I was excited by the choice of plot armor. Needs more polishing though and a more responsive UI, like what is your attack and remaning plot armors - that wasn't obvious from the start
