Game description
Secrets of the Sanctuary is a game built for Game Off 2024 themed around 'Secrets'.

The year is 1218. You play as a character who has been kidnapped and locked in a century-long abandoned dungeon. You must be resourceful and search your surroundings a way to escape. Discover what the truth behind your kidnapping has to offer in Part 2 (currently-not-built).

Additionally, there is an easter egg I have added into the game, try find it!

This has been a very fun first project and way to learn about what game development has to offer and understand Unity's game engine. Due to having experience in C# I was determined to learn Unity for this Game Off as a quick yet exciting way to enter the field of game development. All assets have been installed from the Unity Asset Store.

Unfortunately I have a lot of personal work to do so I don't have time to add learn using the Canvas more so I've quickly made a website if you're stuck.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and play my game. I hope you enjoy it.

Theme interpretation
At first I was stumped with what to make especially with it being my first game. However the Game Off game me motivation to learn and it was fun. I wanted it to be somewhat medieval so decided there is a secret you must uncover, yet the secret is about you, how you got here, why? Who took you here?

A well made and satisfying room escape. The puzzles were intuitive but not immediately obvious and required a fun bit of environmental observation.
