This is a weird collection of “minigames” with an amazing presentation. It’s incredible to see how much you have achieved in a month.
Wow, the adorable graphics and visual style immediately won me over! Such a unique concept to play as different animals in this game. Bonus points for the beautiful sound design. Thank you for the game!
I was engaged from the beautifully crafted opening cutscene, as well as the nice visuals and the gameplay. I liked the idea of going through the logs and revealing a different creature each time, with their own individual gameplay. Overall, a very good game. Well done!
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you liked it :)
Such a beautiful game! The art, the light, the sound - all of that came together for a sublime feel. There were a couple of spots that weren't intuitive - getting in formation with the deer(?), the Simon says that included the spacebar. And it would have been helpful to know the progress especially for the deer and the crane. With the crane, I didn't realize I was resetting and sometimes it was finicky about the timing of hitting the space bar. I realize adding a UI would probably take away from the magic, but maybe there'd be an artful way of showing it without it just being a progress bar on the screen... (musical tones, lighting)? You've got something to be very proud of here.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I agree on what you said about giving more feedback to the player. You also rightly identified the trade-offs we have to dealt with as we indeed wanted to keep the UI minimal. I might take the time to reflect on this and try to improve it after the voting period ends. Thanks for playing!
Beautiful world building, really enjoyed the vibe of this scene! The artsyle is really unique and easy on the eyes, I loved the run animations for the different animals, especially the deer (?). The contrast between the player and the background is quite nice too. The gameplay was a bit lacking and I got stuck on the wolf attack scene as I was unsure what to do and nothing I tried seemed to work. The visuals make up for this a lot but I wish there was a bit more gameplay going on. I really liked the squirrel nut gathering section and a few more mini interactable scenes like this would have been amazing. Overall, I think you did an excellent job building out a world and have a very strong aesthetic going on. Great work!!
Thanks for the positive feedback! I'm glad you liked the atmosphere, the animations and the game in general! Yes, there are a few improvements we'll be making to the deer, and also on improving the gameplay aspect of each scene, we've got a few ideas in mind. :) For this first prototype, we had to set up a variety of animals so that we could understand the universe and the game's intention, then we'll go into more depth on each scene after the jam. We always wish we had more time. :)
Thanks for playing !!
Thanks for your feedback!
We realized the deer phase was a bit unclear, so we've added a short explanation below the game on the itch page. Try it out if you want to try to pass this section ;) (you basically can make the wolf flee by running into them).
This was a really cool concept, nice art and loved the atmosphere.
Thanks a lot :)
Great chill game graphics kind of reminds me of Shelter. The game play and music kind of reminds me of Everything. It was fun to have to figure out what to do as each animal and grow accustomed to it. Gameplay was smooth, sound was great and the vibe was immaculate. Super polished and well made. I can't even think of anything I'd improve, just a cool concept fantastically executed.
Thank you so much for your kind comment and thank you as well for mentioning Everything and Shelter. I didn't know about the Shelter series and it's a very good reference to have in mind for projects like that!
Peaceful atmosphere. But can't play smoothly on my browser.
Thank you :)
Which browser did you use? I know there are some issues with older versions of Safari.
Great work, I loved the ambience and music of the game, and it was really fun to replay and get all the endings! I was really wondering what was up with the ufo and tried to follow it several times hahah
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it and were able to reach all the endings!
I understand, the mystery remains until the last ending... haha
Woah this is awesome. My only issue is that you would still move briefly after letting go of your movement key, but other than that tiny issue, this is super.
Thanks for your positive feedback :) We hope to fine tune the movement after the jam !
Loved how the art design, sounds, and level design come together to set a peaceful tone for the game. It also complements nicely for a moment to ponder and for the search of one's true identity. Well done!
Thank you for the very positive feedback! I am very happy that you enjoyed the atmosphere and it seemed consistent with the theme.
Wow that is one hell of nice atmosphere!! I'm jealous, it's really unique!
Thank you for your feedback ! I enjoyed playing your game too :)
Cool game. I haven't seen one like it before. The deer section was a bit tough at first, but the guide on the game page helped.
The animals look neat and I like the 2.5D style. The music was nice and set an interesting, almost "curious", mood.
Good submission.
Thanks for this very positive feedback ! We will try to improve the deer section after the jam, lots of people struggle with this part. Thanks again !
This game is amazing, thank you for submitting it.
The ONLY comment I have, and just because I'm an audio person, is that I missed a little bit more foley sounds from the animals walking and running, or maybe they're there but seem to get lost in the mix. It is such a minor nitpick, but this game has such a cool ambience and those things help evoke the experience even more. But regardless, this has been one of my favorites of the jam so far.
Congrats to the whole team!
Thank you so much for your appreciation as well as your feedback.
I wholeheartedly agree with your point on SFX. Unfortunately, while we implemented a couple of them (like for the wolves or the cranes) that's something we putted aside as we were running out of time in the end. Next time, we'll try to pay more attention to this 🙂
What a peaceful game. I really like the atmosphere.
Thank you :)
This game is something different. Calm, cool, true tranquillity. Got all the endings and want to say they were gorgeous! Absolutely Amazing 👏
Not as good as yours, but try out my game too!
Thank you so much :D
I tried yours as well and it's good! Don't compare yourself too much to the others, we all have different background and experience. Our game was made by five person and you were alone, yet you managed to make a great game as well!
Great idea and execution! My only gripe is that the embedded web game had very glitchy graphics on my Chrome but it worked better in Safari. (Probably not your bug!)
Thank you for the positive comment. We’ll see if we can’t find that kind of concern on our side to fix it. At the moment we don’t have this on our chrome.
Absolutely gorgeous! It's visually stunning; I really like the animal's design and your color palette, and it's full of great gameplay ideas. The music was really well done. Congrats to the team!
Thank you very much for this enthusiastic feedback!! : )
I enjoyed the atmosphere and art style is amazing. Great and relaxing game!
Thank you ! Happy you enjoyed ! :)
The graphics are awesome and it’s overall quite the relaxing experience.
Great work!
Thanks a lot ! I'm glad you enjoyed !
