Theme interpretation
The theme of secrets has been both a challenge and a source of inspiration for our project. After numerous brainstorming sessions and in-depth team discussions, we decided to weave two layers of secrets into the story—one as the central narrative and the other as a darker, hidden element. This duality not only enriches the core theme but also adds depth, excitement, and intrigue to the plot.

Set in a 19th-century town, the game’s darker palette enhances the mysterious atmosphere surrounding the long-buried secret. The deep, muted tones evoke a sense of tension and intrigue, mirroring the somber mood of the era and the emotional weight of uncovering hidden truths. This color scheme immerses players in a world where every corner invites discovery, with the unfolding mystery seamlessly integrated into the environment itself.

Amazing art and style! Loved the rough edges of each design, whether it was on accident or on purpose, it gave a comic book art style. Which I really loved! It gives a raw emotion or tone to the game. The game's direction is in the right direction, as there is clear imagination that can easily be expanded on! The story is there and the direction is the right path. Its obvious, there was not enough time to make this a full on triple a game, but there is a lot of potential in this. Basic UI fixes and quality of life changes would make this even better as it is. Two thumbs from me!
"Okay i like it, Picasso!"

Thank you so much for enjoying our art and style! We tried our best to create an immersive environment for our players, and we are glad to see your positive feedbacks!

I love the visuals and direction! It’s clear there wasn’t enough time to add sound effects, but even so, I see massive potential in this project. I’d suggest adding the ability to "skip" dialogue by displaying all the text with one button press and skipping to the next on a second press. This wouldn’t ruin the narrative but would make the reading process faster and more convenient. Additionally, allowing the character to move a bit faster would be helpful, especially when encountering dead ends in houses and having to backtrack (though maybe I missed a way to sprint).

As I mentioned, the narrative delivery and visuals are the strongest parts of this project—they were handled with such care, and it’s clear that’s where your strengths lie. Amazing work!

Thank you for playing our game and good to hear some critique from you.

We dug too deep on polishing the player's immersion and tried to find the best character speed so when the player moves along the levels, they have enough but not too little time to process the narrative. Adding the 'Skip' function during the dialogues is definitely a better option for the player.
