This was a charming, light-hearted game. Can't help fall in love with a game about dogs.
I respect the focus on fun with the dialogue and content, emphasising the charm of a good boy. Although it's readable at a large resolution, it can be a little hard to focus with the dog blending into the background since it's all black and white. I would increase the width of its white outline to make it stand out more. The use of background assets is a little chaotic too with inorganic placement and lack of consistency in pixel-line widths.
Good job though for a solo dev!
This was cute. The art style was unique, and the writing was funny. Some of the bubbles closed before I got to read them, but overall, lots of fun!
Enjoyed the humorous writing which definitely carried the whole game imo, though some of the puzzle solutions were weird: I don't grasp how barking can smash crates, how only one of the identical looking rocks can be moved to weigh down a switch and how a tiny dog can stop a horse just by PICKING IT UP 😆
Use of sound was nice, though the retro art style clashes when some "pixel" sprites looked larger than others, the monotone whites on black blend together and that makes it tough to tell where invisible walls lie (that and the camera jitters when it happens which is very distracting).
Who does not like to play fetch with a dog? It was a nice enough way to spend a few minutes of my life and I have no complaints. Sometimes the art was over things that needed to be behind etc. I found the collisions a bit loose but with a bit of time and testing that can all be fixed. Good job.
The retro aesthetic is nice, and the game works fine :) The gameplay is not very clear and the map is a bit chaotic, but it is enjoyable overall. Hope to see what the future brings!
