What I liked on this one is the random generation of the level, however it becomes sometimes pretty complicated, mainly because of the controllers that, as I can identify, are made with "Rigidbody.AddForce", I think that maybe it would had been better if you used another method and also make the colliders of the other flies not to bump with the player, as it becomes really hard to move, but if the idea was to make the game difficult, then I retract everything! haha. I would have loved to see also more audios! Phrases become a little repetitive, but still, very funny!

Great job for one guy!

Thanks for checking out the game and for your awesome feedback! You're spot on, that is how I designed the controller - I wanted to give the fly a bit of a floaty feel, but can certainly experiment with that. Likewise I wanted the swarm to get in the player's way so you sometimes need to push them into lanterns to survive :P It does make the whole thing harder though, and I think I could tighten up the randomiser in future builds to make it less difficult.

Glad you enjoyed the audios too, it was my first time putting them in the game and would gladly record more with no time limit :)

Once again, cheers for playing!

good take on the theme, the control feels too slow. It would be cool when the flies join you, will gave certain perks or power ups

Developer

Thanks for playing the game and for your feedback! I'll certainly take that on board and see about that in future iterations. Currently they stop you from hurtling headlong into the flytraps, but can see that's not totally obvious or very impressive.

Like everyone else here I enjoyed the voices, really caught me by surprise. If only my fly soldiers weren't so darn suicidal :(

Developer

thanks man, really appreciate it :) yeah, but I guess if they were too intelligent they might try to become their own lords!

I loved the idea of using voice for the characters! It was very fun to hear and play! The only thing I didn't like was that the screen scrolling was a bit slow, and the difficulty didn't increase over time, maybe you could add a script to scale the difficulty with the player score?

Developer

thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it :) that’s a good point, I will definitely look into that after the jam!

LOVED the voice acting, I was cracking up. The controls felt a little unresponsive, but it was a fun challenge trying to keep my loyal subjects alive.

Developer

thanks haha glad you enjoyed it! I’ll take a look at the controls, he definitely does fly a little slow!
