That was some fun platforming. All the powerups to solve what's ahead of you is a great idea. I liked the backstory that went into this too. Great work!
Cute game. The 8-bit background music fits perfectly with the design, though I'm not sure why the player is blue...
In any case, I found the stairs to be a bit wonky, but on the other hand I loved the temporary powerups, and the fact that they reappear just like the platforms. Particularly handy for ppl who fall off ledges like I seem to do :))
Hi there. I only played this one partially... I encountered a few bugs in the character's movement: Character can climb up walls, one can basically skip platforms. The ladders, if they catch you in mid-air, will force you to climb up or down, without being able to move from side-to-side, thus you need to descend all the way down, and detach from the ladder, just to be able to climb from the middle, and avoid smacking your head up to the ceiling.
I liked the art direction, and the small backstory. I'll give it a try sometime later.
Cheers!
Hello Shroudeye, we are glad you found the small backstory and graphics interesting and thanks for your feedback! If you find anymore bugs feel free to tell us. NOTE: Jumping on walls was intentional. Basically you have a small cooldown (3 sec) were you are able to wall jump, then you are thrown back down.
So, we can wall jump! That is neat, but maybe you'd want to telegraph that, as a feature, i.e. a few frames of animation to signify that we can wall-jump? Maybe you guys can
rip-off Super Metr- expand upon that mechanic? :)Haha, yea we have thought about adding a different animation that indicates that you are grabbing the wall as a visual indication but unfortunately we ran out of time :/
