I suppose RPG-Maker can't build for other target systems than Windows?

I guess I'll have to try it out on my "Laptoy"... OTOH it's likely not that demanding of the machine's resources, so it should work...

Enjoyed playing!   your work is excellent in execution,  I like the narrative and the immersive experience while playing, Long time ago  I attempted to make a game using  RPG Maker,  seeing this one inspired me to check it out again, congratulations! keep it up!

Developer

I'm really happy to hear. Enjoy your time in RPG Maker, if you do get back to it :)

Absolutely fantastic work! I want to check out the RPG Maker after trying this. Great story-telling and really enjoyed the world-building! Half an hour disappeared in the blink of an eye! Keep up the great work.

Developer

Thank you so much! If you're interested in learning the engine, I'd recommend checking the tutorials from Lvl Up Design on Youtube. That's how I learned to use RPG Maker, I binged a good deal of tutorials before getting the free trial, so I got started already knowing the basics. When I had trouble, I knew exactly the tutorial to look for to find the answer. :))

Quite captivating story with a good soundtrack, this feels more like a complete game rather than game jam!

Interesting story, the musics were really good and I noticed only one text mistake (which is impressive for the amount of text in a short period of time).

Unfortunately the story wasn't finished. I guess I'll just have to wait for the next part to drop...

Developer

I do intend to continue this over the summer, but first I should get myself the engine for real (I was using the free trial during the jam). I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Very nice game. I had never done anything in RPG maker but you created a very nice story in it. Thanks a lot for your submission.

I don't know how much rpg maker does for you but it seems like you put in a lot of work on this one! Big town to explore and people to talk to. The story about kids getting killed and wanting to get back to life is a interesting concept, you should keep developing this. It seems like it would be a nice fit with these types of games. Also, alcohol potion made me laugh.

Cheers!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! And yeah, the alcohol potion is a silly thing, I'm glad you had fun with it.

Wow, super polished, feels like a living a breathing world. All of the little scripted animations and reaction bubbles were great. I liked the little environmental touches, like the woman trying to fly in the garden and falling over again and again, the girl skipping over tiles, and the guys fighting in the training area.

For a 1 person team, this has a lot of content. You’re a good writer, I want to see how the story plays out, so I hope you continue the project :)

I'm super happy to hear this! It was a lot of fun doing the NPC movement routes, and I hoped it would be fun for the player as well. Glad to know it worked as intended :))
