Tips on size optimization?

Hey everyone,

This is my first game jam attempt and second time I've completed a game. I just completed my initial build for the jam, however it's a lot larger of a file size than I expected (350mb when zipped). I'd like to explore ways to shrink things down a bit so that it will be a little more accessible to everyone.

Here's a link to my game if that helps identify the low-hanging fruit: https://porkrind.itch.io/turbulent-soul

The one item that came to mind first was the sound & music WAV files. Any recommendations to formats/conversions that would be better optimized for these games?

Looking forward to checking out all the games here!

If you can, loop the music. My game literally has a 19 second music on loop but my wife says it's very soothing and helps her concentrate on the game.

Good call. I think I may be able to chop it at least a bit.
