Really nice game!
Thank you so much for playing! I appreciate it!
Great game. was a lot of fun to defend my operation. Really great implementation in this time frame. Thanks a lot for the game.
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was a time crunch for sure. :D
Good game, nice ideas! At first, I did not really understand what was going on, maybe because I do not really play games in this genre. I loved that enemy waves would attack my workers, nice little touch! Congratulations! :)
Thank you for giving it a play! I had wanted to include instructions and maybe do a tutorial but I ran out of time. :D
Nice mechanics! A cool take on the tower defence genre. I would have loved a slightly steeper difficulty ramp but the gameplay itself was solid. Congrats on your first jam submission 😎
Thanks for playing! I appreciate it! I do wish I had more time at the end to do more balancing but I was finishing up the main menu screen moments before submitting. haha I have lots of plans for it in the future though.
Really good mechanics and bug free! Also nice hybrid between an RTS and a tower defense, it reminded me a bit of Imperium Civitas in the gameloop department :D
Thank you for playing it! It was my first game jam and I had so many more plans I wanted to implement and hope to after the jam is done. :D
Impressive work for the time span of a jam. Well done.
Thanks for playing it! I'm glad we were both able to finish in time. :D It was a learning experience, for sure.
Great project.
It's been a while since I played a decent tower defense game.
I would love to see this one expand
Thanks for playing! I have lots of plans. Being my first game jam, I totally ran out of time to implement even half of what I had wanted. haha
I so much know that feeling xD
I have never been much into tower defense games, yet this one captivated me. Very simple, relaxing and fun. Congrats !
Thank you for playing it! I enjoyed yours. It makes me want to try Unreal a little more. haha
Who doesn't love a good tower defense game? :D
This is one of my favorite genres and I had an absolute BLAST playing this game!
Thank you for playing and the kind words!
Really good game, spent more time playing this then I have most others
Thank you so much! I'm hoping once I expand it some more and work on the game balancing it'll be ready for an actual release. haha
I hope so too, I would definitely like to play it some more
It's impressive you did an RTS style game for the Jam! Good job on this! I had fun playing it for a while.
Thanks for giving it a play! I wish I could have gotten more done but ran out of time. I'll definitely be fleshing it out some more. :D
RTS games can be super hard to pull off, nice attempt!
Unfortunately, I had no idea what I was doing. Any sort of tutorial or instruction in-game would have helped understand what I was doing and why I was doing it. Still, I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into what IS here because it all looks nice and controls well.
Congrats on finishing your game jam submission and keep making games!
Being my first game jam I ran out of time to put the instructions into the game and ended up putting them on the game page itself. Thanks for playing! :D
Been forever since I played a resource gatherer. Very atmospheric and very fun! No major complaints, it all worked together quite well and i was especially appreciative of the volume settings. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for playing! It was my first game jam and I was pushing at the end to make sure I had some options for sound and scrolling as I know it's different for everybody. :D
Nice changes to the Code Monkey Tower Defense. The art you used looked amazing. Good Job on the Game Jam submission.
Thanks. I've been trying to learn from him and Brackeys. I'm kinda sad Brackeys quit posting though. He was a good teacher too.
Nice tower defense,
When you place a tower or a resource collector, maybe add some circle area, green or red, to easily know if we are too close from an other building or not.
Great work !
That is definitely on the add list. I just wish I hadn't run out of time. Thanks for playing!
Liked it! It was a bit confusing at first tough, I would suggest to introduce buildings mechanics to the player first.
I so wanted to do at least an instruction screen but being my first jam I ran out of time and had to just put it on the page. I submitted right near the end. haha There's so much I wanted to add but timing got to me. Thanks for playing it! :D
Good job! This game is really fun. I'm on wave 24 right now and still going. Now that I've built up the resources, I'm building so many towers, it reminds me of defending against the zerg in Starcraft. I could see this game having a lot of potential cool upgrades and enemies if you kept going with it.
I definitely will. I ran out of time before I could do the final game balancing but I want to add a lot more features and eventually summoning a giant demon to actually fit the title. haha So many features I wanted and so little time. Thanks for giving it a go! :D
This was so fun, how did you make the minimap?
Cinemachine vcam. I projected it onto a texture and then made special icons for each of the resources and harvesters and only allowed them to be seen on the minimap layer. I included the source code if you want to check it out! :D Thanks for playing it!
thank you very much for explaining.
Nice! Good speed to the gameplay and controls well
Thanks for checking it out! My plan is to flesh it out with a lot more buildings and levels. :D
As tower defence games go, I found it quite relaxing. Made it to wave 20-something but got distracted with a conversation and died. The camera movement was way too fast for me - mouse and keyboard on a laptop. Combined with the camera shake, I never even got to see the enemies!
As has been mentioned by others, spheres of influence/can't build here representation would be good. I'd also like to click on the minimap and move my camera to that location.
Not the strongest connection to the theme, but not the worst by a long way.
Thanks for giving it a try. I had lots of plans but this was my first game jam and it was a learning experience. haha
I think you should keep working on it, you've got a good, solid foundation of a game. We've all had to make sacrifices to get our games out in time. Some are worth building on though and putting in those extra features
