This is from a YouTube tutorial series isn't it?
I've watched a few episodes from the same channel.
Did you add anything of your own to it? I can't really say much, but if you are trying to learn, try making it your own with different art, or mechanics. Start small and simple, little changes from what the tutorials say, we all start somewhere. It's my first game jam as well and only the second game I've ever made.
Yes! We changed some art assets and the coding here and there (Cause I have some keeping clean issues). I do have more monster sprites my husband made himself but I didn't have the time to add them.
Will do later on once I am more experienced.
