Yes! We changed some art assets and the coding here and there (Cause I have some keeping clean issues). I do have more monster sprites my husband made himself but I didn't have the time to add them.
Will do later on once I am more experienced.
Hello gamedevs!!!
I just cmpleted my first ever game jam (together with my husband) and WOW long 10 days! And the following is just me sharing my personal experience.
Let me be honest: it was the first time I used godot to make this project happen! Such an user friendly engine 💜
The game we ended up submitting was a super simple concept, given my sickle-cell disease decided to leave me on bed for a few days. We are missing tons of SFX and some bugs here and there. And things didn't turn out as we wanted them to be 100%.
And just with the above, a lot of people feel intimidated to participating in game hams, specially when you see the amazing games that comes out of these events. But guess what? It's alright! It's experience you gain, and you can take that tiny game you made, and make it something amazing down the line.
TLDR: Take it from me, no matter what disability you may have; just try, just do it!!!
Yes, we submitted a simple game, but it feels so good, and it boosts your confidence.
Plus, you will have a great time!
Thank you for reading ✨
