I've developed a (free) game development environment called Mini Micro:

After speaking with Rodrigo, he's graciously allowed me to offer a "bonus prize" (US$25 gift card for Steam or Amazon.com, winner's choice) for the best game made with Mini Micro!

So if you want to play for this bonus prize, check out this "Getting Started" video...

and then join our forums and/or Discord server, where I and other users will be glad to help you out!

Yeahhhhh guys! Lets do it!

To clarify the rules for this bonus prize:

  1. Your submission must (of course) be made with Mini Micro
  2. You can get as much help from me or anyone else in the Mini Micro community as you like.  Team projects are also fine, but only one prize will be issued (it's up to you to decide how that gets shared with the team).
  3. Tag your project with #minimicro, and also note in the description that it's "made with Mini Micro" (linking to https://joestrout.itch.io/mini-micro).
  4. Judging will be done by me (Joe Strout).  I and my immediate family are not eligible to win, and will not be considered for this prize even if we enter the game jam.

Happy coding!

Hi Joe,

The game need to be made in the Mini Micro web editor or just need to be run using MiniScript?
Also there is some demo games source code using MiniMicro somewhere I can look up?

Thanks

Mini Micro is a downloadable program; you run it under Windows, macOS, or Linux.  That's where you'll write your game (using MiniScript code).  Then you'll build for the web following these instructions (with help from me if needed).

And there are a ton of demos included with Mini Micro in the /sys/demo directory.  The "Getting Started" video above shows you how to get to them.  If you have any questions, don't be shy — I'm on Discord and the forums most of the day, and always happy to help!
