  • A Tony Hawk Pro Skater inspired game. I admire single person team's courage to go with 3d and difficult physics... I like the idea of replay ghosts in the game world (new life), underground (skaters' culture), liminal space (empty town, but it gets filled later during the game). The technical side of the game has some rough edges that should be solved - better player model stability (he is very unstable right now), slower game world rendering (as the town gets more detailed, some non trivial optimizations should be done). But overall good looking and interesting playable game with some exploration.
  • Another great game from LukyDrum, that I had the honour to play. The idea of populating the city with skaters is one of my favourite usages of the "New life" ingredient. The game is in 3D which comes with inherent challenges that the author had to face. I have never played any other skater game, so I might be totally wrong with this one, but the physics just doesn't feel exactly right to me. To be precise, my problem with it is that it's not that easy to ride on an inclined platform. And it's a shame since the game offers you more than enough of the opportunities to use such platforms. Otherwise, the physics are quite realistic. And some of my figures actually managed to blow up after they got stuck in the terrain, which is something that I thought didn't make it to the final game. Apart from this tiny physics nitpick, the game is really amazing, the audio, the graphics and the customizability at the beginning. Thank you very much for your participation, I am looking forward to another of your games!

Jam Host

I liked this game - small, compact, with some replay value. I had some problems fighting the physics, the player balance is hard to do in this type of game (and for example THPS cheats in this a lot). I love the exploration aspect and the previous try ghosts.

The game could be focused more on exploration. Imagine giving player a random city (perhaps composed from pre-modelled blocks) with randomly placed stars. Imagine various environments, ground, underground, sky high…

But first, polish the physics itself. It is the only thing missing in the game jam perfection. (The rest was already said by Radek and Rudolf, and I have nothing more to add, as I have same opinions on your game.)

Tahle hra, ačkoliv nová, pro mě byla trochu nostalgickým zážitkem.

Je spousta super, pěkných věcí na téhle hře.

  • replay funkce!
  • intuitivní, ač omezené ovládání
  • built in tutoriál + popis ovládání

Tony Hawk in liminal space.

It's just difficult to rate this game. Either you love it... or you're not interested.

At first glance, it's just a copy pro skater. At second glance, there is much more.

First of all, it must be said that a 3D game with basic physics is quite a challenge for a single author. But the author took it with a respectable effort.

Skating is just the basis of the game. The interesting thing happens when the player ride again. The city is starting to fill up, and the clear lines, in addition to the dynamics, nicely force a player to try different parts of the city. The game is full of little things that are not easy to see - for example, it is much harder to drive on the grass, some stars are well hidden (especially the ones on the roof), the music is great and the fact that it is 3D was a great idea. Just as it is nice to be able to color your character.

I must also mention here what only we participants experienced - the pitch of the game was EXCELLENT. And for many it helped the game a lot.

And very subjectively: probably the best used ingredient of the underground.

to improve:

- more spawn points (it will help the idea of the game to "populate" the city)

- spawn points can progress - start with something "nonoptimal" spawn point and then when I find a way to the roof, I can start there for better momentum etc. it will be a subtle progression, but it will

- store player achievements

- for unskilled people like me to list which combination does the trick

- and then, there are challenges, tricks, IK and a lot of things that can be added, but are a little beyond the scope of a one-person GJ game

PS. Pokud někdo nepochopí, že "Press ENTER to end your session" hru ukončí, je to jeho problém. :-)
